For Once I turned into Fox News....

Click here to watch the interview
Ok, I usually dont tune in to Fox News, but this was brought to my attention. I have so much pain in my heart because this woman has the wrong impression and interepretation of God. These people that were protesting just get on my nerves!!! One sign that caught my attention said something along the lines of "don't worship the dead" When Jesus was cruxified, and buried in the tomb, the family came to visit the tomb, so does that mean (according to this woman) that the family of Jesus Christ were sinning?!

Another sign said "God hates fags" Ok, first of all God doesn't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but he doesn't "hate" the people that engage in it. We are all God's children with free choice, God isn't going to make us follow in His ways, but He loves us none the less.

"God is your enemy" God is a loving god! How can she come across to portray The Almighty one in this way?!

It was said in the interview that the members of the church are mostly related. This family really need to open their eyes, and allow the TRUTH to be spoken into their lives, instead of misleading so many people.

All I can do is pray for the lost out there, such as this woman. It's so sad that they are so misleading, and mis-interpreting the scriptures.

BTW: Sorry if this offends any of you out there that aren't into topics such as these.

"The Shot" Segment

Hahahaha, did you hear that flute playin?! LOL It was pretty good, I liked it. Wow, small world Erica played the flute, I play the flute! I'm pretty good if I say so myself! Anywho, there's my late random blog for the day!!!

My Photography Works so Far

Hey everyone!! I really dont have anything Ander-related to post, BUT I thought you all might enjoy these.

"Amarillo Sunset"

"God's Serenity"

"Patches"

"Freedom, Hope, and Liberty"

"Caged Liberty"

"Paradise City"

"American Pride"

A few of these have been published at www.picture.com as well as in their books. Hope you enjoy them! I hope to continue my photography in the future.

OMFG!!! What a game!!!

OMG!!!!!!! The Spurs took a 2-0 lead over the Kings, thanks to a magnificent three pointer by Brent Barry to send the game into overtime!!!!!! The Kings just couldn't match the Spurs' momentum in overtime and the Spurs won it 128-119! The Kings also had plenty of chances to take the game, and I give them credit, they played very well.

Phew!! What a game!!! I'm off to watch House, M.D now, to take care!!!

What would Anderson think???

Have you every wondered what Anderson would think if he actually knew how many of his adoring fans talked about him??? It's one thing to admire the guy for his journalistic accomplishments, and it's another thing to talk about what a major cutie he is. I guess everyone has their own fan base, and I dont think it's unhealthy to admire someone like Anderson.

But what gets to me is all the "stalkerish" type comments, etc. Privacy is a great thing at times, but I guess when you're out there in the media world you kinda give up that privalege at times. I'm not saying that Anderson has given that up, but it does make you think about what goes on in his head when you hear "Anderson was spotted at....." and all the speculation about certain aspects of his life are brought up.

I dont know if this entry has any relevance or even makes all that much sense, seeing as how I just got out of an A&P test that was just "wooosh" over my head lol. I think I may have passed, but I can guarantee that this is my drop grade.

Anywho, seeing as how my Spurs play tonight, I'll more than likely catch the repeat of 360, just to get my Anderfix for the day....haha just kidding, to actually know whats going on in the news today!!! Ok, you probably just said, yeah right.....but I'm serious!

My ramblings for today....

What a day what a day!! Hope life is treatin you all well. Lets see I completely forgot about an A&P test that I have today at 1:45, can't find anything to wear for an athletic banquet we are having tonight (thank gooshness for cousins!!!) Tomorrow is "dead day" at school!!! The day where nothing is going on before finals!!! I do have some statistics corrections to do and turn them in before noon though. Sheesh...lots to do, so little time. I haven't done any of my lab write ups. We were told last semester that it was an easy A if you did them, well the prof gave me an F, but I still passed with a B; so I figure if I dont get them done I'll get an F and still pass with a B. Win-Win I think lol.

I'm not going to want to do anything tonight though, sheesh that's what I get for procrastination huh? My Spurs play tonight, so I'm hoping I'll be done with the banquet by then, and I can always TRY to get some work done during commercials and half time. Sounds like a plan to me!!!

Anywho, Anderson looked mighty fine last night sportin the blue tie!!! Makes those steely blues just pierce right through ya!! Well that's enough of my ramblings for now!!! Enjoy the show tonight!

Cedric the Entertainer

I heard that our Anderson was spotted at a Scissor Sister's concert (ok ok I didn't hear it, I read it on Gawker) LOL

Well hope everyone has a great day!!!

PS Which one of you is packing up Anderson and sending him to my house?! Now wouldn't that be a great gift?! lol

Last night's 360

Howdy all!!! Although I missed 360 last night (I know I know bad Anderfan) Here are a couple of screencaps thanks to stillife out at Anderloads.

So, these hour long shows are becoming normal, I wonder what will happen tonight. I wont be able to watch (again bad Anderfan) I'll be at my sister's basketball tourney. Go Shock N Awe!

All I know is that organic chemistry should NOT be scheduled at 9am sheesh it's a killer!!!! I really need to learn NOT to procrastinate! I still haven't done my last lab, and haven't done any of my lab write ups (bad student!!! lol)

Well anyways, hope everyone is having a great day!! :)

Columbine Tragedy Anniversary

As many of you probably know, today marks the anniversary of the Columbine Tragedy. There is a piece of music entitled "An American Elegy" that was composed for both the ones who lost their lives, as well as survived. It's a very moving piece, and I have been honored to be able to play it more than once, and will be playing it while in Russia. Please check out the following link to listen to the piece. I always get that lump in my throat while playing it, and wanted to share it with you all.

Requested picture....

This is the biggest I could get the picture while keeping the quality pretty much the same!!! Enjoy!! :)

It's official....

I'm officially admitting that I'm addicted..... No worries nothing too serious lol. I'm addicted to House, M.D. I love House's sarcasm, smugness and his blunt nature-he makes these somewhat ugly characteristics super hott! lol So to endulge in my new love (WHOA STOP REWIND!! I'll make this clear, he's is NOT, I repeat NOT taking Anderson's place..sheesh I'm not insane! lol)this entry is dedicated to House, specifically Hugh! Those eyes, that accent...wow!!!

I've only recently discovered House, and after one episode, I was totally hooked! I went out and rented Season 1 on dvd, and in less than a week I'm finished! I dont usually get into medical shows (although I am a science major), but this one is different.

Ok, I guess that's enough for now lol....
In other news, the Spurs clenched the best record in the Western Conference whooohooo!!!! *Does a little happy dance*

For anyone interested in watching some basketball, here ya go:
Game 1: at San Antonio, Sat., April 22 (5:30 p.m. ET, ESPN)
Game 2: at San Antonio, Tue., April 25 (9:30 p.m. ET, TNT)
Game 3: at Sacramento, Fri., April 28 (10 p.m. ET, ESPN2)
Game 4: at Sacramento, Sun., April 30 (10 p.m. ET, TNT)
Game 5: at San Antonio, Tue., May 2 (TBD, if necessary)
Game 6: at Sacramento, Fri., May 5 (TBD, if necessary)
Game 7: at San Antonio, Sun., May 7 (TBD, if necessary)

Oh yeah, went to a doctors appointment today, diagnoses Plantar Fascitis, a big fancy word meaning I've over worked the fibers in the bottom of my foot, and it doesn't help having a flat foot. I just hope the pain subsides within a week if not, I'll have to go a specialist...sheesh 2 specialist in 2 months...not a good thing lol.

Tuesday, April 18, 2006

Today's random thoughts....

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is having an Anderrific Tuesday! Today has been a great day so far!!! Lets see, took a statistics test, set up another doctor's appointmen, got a hair cut and actually did my make up and everything! Well I dont know how many of you out there will be tuning into tonight's special edition of 360, I'll be recording it, but I may try to stay up for the replay either way.

I guess not many people are intrigued by the topic, judging by his blog comments. Usually when Anderson posts, it is flooded with comments. I'm lucky number 2! woohoo! lol.

Well, thats all for now, gotta get ready for A&P then spend a fun night at work! Take care!!!

Spurs Recap:
Thanks to the win on Monday against Utah, San Antonio is assured teh top seed in the West, and home court during the Western Conference Playoffs!

I'm a day late on this but here it is!!

AC for President!!!
Hey everyone!

Anderson just posted a new entry on the 360 blog!!!! It's a great entry too!

Anywho, I just got back into town, from a follow-up appointment with my orthopedic surgeon, and whooohoo I've been cut loose! Anywho, so how was everyone's Anderless weekend? All I did was work, fun fun fun. Well hope to be able to catch the show tonight! Take Care!!

Happy Easter

I'm lovin' the Ander-bunny!!!
Thanks to my friend Hannah!!

Seriously now, lets not forget the true meaning of Easter. Give glory to God, for the love he has given through Jesus. I dont look down on any faith, but my Savior is not on the cross he is sitting at the right hand side of God in Heaven! (Hope none of this offends anyone)

Friday, April 14, 2006

Well, I'm sitting here watching 360, and I have to tell you I was suprised to see Anderson (dont know why I just had a feeling he wouldn't be here, guess my Ander-radar is needing some recharging) Anywho, today was a pretty blah day, woke up late, went to work, helped my sister pick out a cell phone, saw a blackberry that I want (if you know anything about them good or bad let me know).

Spurs Update:
The Spurs lost to the Magic on Thursday 92-80. I'm very disappointed, Manu hasn't been playing, but he needs to get healthy.

360 and sports update

Well last night I stayed up to watch 360, and the hour long special of the BTK killer. I was really impressed that Anderson would devote an entire hour to a topic such as that. Anywho, it was really interesting!! I actually got some decent sleep today lol, after pulling an almost-all-nighter Tuesday evening, and running off of 3 hours of sleep, caffiene, and a protein bar, I feel MUCH better!! I'm telling you if it wasn't for my neighbors music, I would have slept right through statistics class!

Anywho, tonight's 360: How did so many officials get so much wrong in the run-up to the war? The question won't go away. We look for answers. Tune in at 10 p.m. ET. I have to work again tonight, so I may stay up and watch the replay, seeing as how I dont have school tomorrow, and I just have to wake up and go to work at noon lol.

My Spurs also play tonight!! They have the opportunity to gain a huge advantage in the persuit of the best record in the Western Conference!! This game is also huge, because a loss will allow Detroit to clinch the best record throughout the entire league and have home court advantage during the playoffs, and finals. I'm not sure if Manu will be back this game, I just hope he heals correctly and gets rested for the playoffs.

Well that's all for now, take care, and enjoy the show!!!

Ok serious thoughts about last nights show

I want to make myself perfectly clear; although I thought the Andersmackdown was totally hott, I must say that Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez makes some extremely valid points, and I did enjoy what she had to say. Check out Alisa's Blog

With all the talk about Mexicans this, and Mexicans that, and some extremely rude comments about them, has me thinking. I myself am Hispanic, with ancesteral roots from Mexico. It just makes me think about how my life could be so very drastically different. All of my grandparents are desceased, and I really have no way of clarifying any questions about legality beyond them. (yes, I know there ARE ways, but I'm in college, really dont have the time to do all that now do I?)

Why is it that most of the focus is on Mexico? Why are people continually saying that Mexicans are the problem? I think we all need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and distinguish the termonlogy we are going to use in this debate. I believe this debate is very relevant, and to put this debate back in the shadows would be a huge mistake.

So you may be asking yourself "Rita, what is YOUR stand on the issue?" Honestly, I can't really say. I can understand why the people are wanting to come to the US, and there are many obstacles hindering them from becoming US citizens. Yet, on the otherhand, if their governments could provide for them, like they should be, they more than likely wouldn't want to cross the border. I see no problem with anyone of foreign nationality wanting to live in the US.

So what can be done to fix this problem? I dont have the answer, and I personally don't know anyone with that answer. I guess it's just another hurdle we must get over, and one day read about in a history book.

Well, I wish I could catch 360 tonight, but I have to work. I'll more than likely stay up and watch the replay, just to get my Anderfix (hahahaha, I couldn't resist) Oh yes, I'd really like to hear more about what YOU think on this issue, if you care to share :)

I'd like to thank....

Hey everyone, I've been quite busy and have posted stuff in a hurry, but I just wanted to take this time to thank legionpossessed, stillife, and anyone else out at Anderloads on livejournalthat I may have overlooked on my list of people to give credit to. Again thank you to Anderloads for making these clips available.

My apologies for not keeping up with this better, no worries, I'll keep up with it more efficiently :)

Anderson Lays the Smackdown on 360

Whoooooweeeeee Anderson sure did put that woman in her place!!! (In regards of playing by his rules) Go Anderson, Go Anderson!!!! I'm not going to lie, stern Anderson, was HOTT!!!!! (when isn't he though?!) Mmmmm Anderson in that blue shirt!!! Love it!!! He really knows how to put on a show after being gone for so long!!!

Spurs Recap: Well my Spurs won 104-95 over the Sonics tonight putting them a game ahead of the Mavs. Unfortunately, Manu is out with a thigh contusion, but will hopefully return soon, it isn't too serious from what I hear. GO SPURS GO!

End of the Anderdrought, and an OT post as well :D

Ok, last night's show was pretty good! I loved when Anderson brought up the fact that he was a "Jeopardy" Champion, and said something like "bring it on" that was just great!! It was a great a way to end our Anderdrought!!!

Question, did Anderson look a little tanned to anyone else? Or was it just me, and my tv! I believe I did hear he was out of the country, any guesses as to where specifically? Oh, did I mention how good AC was looking last night?! Whoooweee, sure was a sight for sore eyes, and I did find myself distracted during a couple of the segments....

I'm going to apologize in advance for this, but as the NBA playoffs draw near, you will find me blogging more and more about the San Antonio Spurs (don't worry, I will keep my main focus on Anderson) Tonight the Spurs welcome the Sonics to the AT&T Center. Although the Sonics' record isn't very impressive (33-43) they are coming off of a 4-game winning streak. They have won 7 out of the last 10 games including a 106-102 victory over the Spurs back in March.

Seeing as how the Spurs are only a 1/2 game ahead of the Mavs for the best record in the Western Conference, this game is a huge game for the Spurs. I like good competition, but sheesh, I'm getting gray hair (so to speak) during the regular season, can you imagine play off time? I may just end up catching up to AC (although he can pull off that look far better than anyone I know!!!) lol

On a personal note, I just love the smell of new shoes.....lol...very weird I know, but I just got my new basketball shoes in and can't wait to break them in!!! Hmm I wonder if it's too early to start my birthday countdown *ponders*...naw! 13 days until I turn 20! woohooo!!!

Thanks to stillife out at Anderloads for the screen cap

Short SNL Spoof Clip

Below is a clip from last Saturday night's SNL.

From the Denver Post, it is only the first part of the clip where Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo is parodied.

http://extras.denverpost.com/multimedia/flashvideo/tancredo1/0409tancredo.html

It's not the entire clip, but it's better than nothing...right?

EDIT:

Here is the megupload link for the spoof:

new yousendit link

Enjoy Anderfans!!

(there is a delay between the audio and video, but its better that not having the clip at all!)

Thank you to doraemon_2000 at Live Journal for getting the clip!!!!

Will Anderson Be Back Tonight?!

Hey Anderfans, we can only hope that Anderson will be back tonight. After a long Anderless week, and our somewhat-getting-used-to Anderless weekend, can we go any longer with out him?! (Ok, I'm pretty sure we aren't Ander-dependent or anything, but sheesh I think it's time that he grace our television screens once again)

In other news however, Headline News is changing their lineup. According to TVNewser, Erica will be doing a solo act on Prime News at 6 PM. With this time change, does that mean that Erica wont stick around for the business/other news during AC360?! 360 will still be up against the Nancy Grace rerun at 10PM, but now be going up against Shobiz Tonight at 11 PM.

Also, I think I may have found someone with the newest SNL spoof on Anderson, and hopefully I'll have it available to upload soon!!!

Sunday, April 09, 2006

Hopefully our last Anderless day for the time being....

Well, lets all cross our fingers and hope Anderson will be back tomorrow!! Did anyone happen to catch the new SNL spoof on AC last night?! I missed it :(

Well OT now, my Spurs will take on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight in San Antone! The Spurs are looking to get back into a winning streak, after dropping the first 2 games of their 5 home game stand. We really need every win, seeing as how Dallas is only 1 game behind for the best record in the Western Conference (which will determine whether or not we are the #1 or #4 in the playoff bracket)

This season, the Spurs are 3-0 against the Grizzlies, rumor has it that Ginobili will not be playing tonight, and since I've been out of the loop because of work, I want to know what happened to my Gino! Maybe it's because he gave us that scare during the Dallas game, and they just want to rest him up for the playoffs. I'm hoping that is it the case, and he's not severely injured again.

Well I hope everyone has had an Anderiffic weekend, and hope you have a great Sunday!!!

The above picture is of Tim Duncan #21 ... Game time baby!!!

Awww, I love this picture so much!! I have the one of the actual pictures from a magazine, and just love it!!!

UPDATE

I'm currently trying to figure out how to make DVD(s) of all my Andervids!!! Hopefully, I'll eventually get it to work!!!! YAY!

To start our Anderless Weekend, an OT post on the SAN ANTONIO SPURS!

Ok folks, well it looks like we've all made it through Anderless week in one piece, now we just have to hope he'll be back on Monday, which means we still have the lonely weekend ahead of us now. We've gotten this far, we will make it!!!

So, I'm going a little off topic (ok way off topic), and I'm going to talk about my San Antonio Spurs! As many of you may or may not know, there are only 6 games left in the regular season. At the moment, San Antonio is leading the Western Conference by one game over the Dallas Mavericks. The two teams met last night, and unfortunately the Spurs were not able to get the win. Manu Ginobili scared me a little bit, by rolling his ankle during the second half, but returned to the game, and led the Spurs with 22 points. Nick Van Exel and Michael Finley combined to shoot 7 for 9 from behind the arc (3 pointers) and each scored 14 points. Tim Ducan also added 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

If you know me personally, or even just a little, you also know that when the Spurs are playing, Anderson takes the back burner so to speak. (Sorry Anderson, I still love you though!) So this is also a get to know me kind of post! I love basketball, and absolutely love the Spurs!!! My favorite player is Manu Ginobili #20, if you would like to know more just ask!!! So here are a few of my favorite SA Spurs pictures!!!

Friday Picture of the Day (Anderless Week)

Happy FRIDAY!!!! If any of you watched 360 last night, they played an older story, narrated by Anderson, it was like music to my ears.... Well since it is Friday, I thought we'd celebrate by having not ONE picture of the day, but SEVEN pictures for today!!

Puppy Love....awwwwwwww

Speaking of puppy love, here's my baby!!!
