Stop Snitchin'

AC 360 was to say the least, filled with a wide variety of stories and lively discussion. Anderson seems really passionate about the subject of "stop snitchin'". However, I wonder if just writing in to the corporate execs will change anything. Unless people stop buying the product, I don't think they care how many letters they get. Parents objecting to lyrics won't stop kids from buying the music. Kids today are alone or with other kids so much, it's easy to buy things without their parents knowing about it. Regardless, I think it's an important discussion to have and whether or not changes are made, it's an interesting discussion so far.

Some caps from last night's program. Enjoy!

Massacre at Virginia Tech

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who were affected by the shootings at Virginia Tech. At the beginning of AC 360 tonight, John King announced that Anderson is on his way back from Afghanistan. I hope he will be covering this tragedy; he has a gentle and empathetic way with people who are hurting. His presence is needed on that campus right now and it will add to the talent already reporting on this tragic event.

Many of us became familiar with Anderson's reporting through heartbreaking events such as the tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. This is the type of reporting that allows Anderson to shine. This is where we see what a truly kind hearted soul he is. I always hated when reporters would go up to people in pain and shove a microphone in front of them asking how they feel. Anderson never intrudes; he seems to let people seek him out. If they want to share their feelings, their story; he is there to listen.

Anderson is the silver lining in the cloud of tragedy. Thank God for sending him to us.

Safe trip home to Anderson and everyone say a prayer tonight for those families grieving tonight and a quick recovery for the injured.

Anderwithdrawal

Wednesday's Program

Big questions about how the universe came to be and how we got here. Science says one thing, the Bible says another. Can the two co-exist? "What is a Christian?" tonight, 10 ET.

Since we are all suffering from AnderRetrait, aka Anderwithdrawal, I thought a video clip would be appreciated. Y'all may have seen it before but you can never see an Anderclip too many times. This one is from the earlier version of AC360 and is called "Emailing the Prez". Take a look!

AnderMonday

Hope everyone has made it through their Monday; only 3 hours to AC360. Tonight's show :

She left a long trail of dead husbands. Now after decades at large, the woman known as the "Black Widow" is in custody. Hear how she allegedly spun her web. Tune in tonight at 10 ET.

I thought they caught her a long time ago! I'm looking forward to hearing more about it.

If you missed Friday's show, you missed an excellent one. Besides "The Shot" which is always good, there was the story about the little boy whose Daddy came back from his tour of duty in Iraq. When he was shipped off, he promised his six year old son that when he returned he would pick him up at school. While he was stationed in Iraq, the class wrote letters to him.
When he walked into class, the sight of that little boy running into his Daddy's arms was a heartwarming sight. He burst into tears, as most of us did I think, and wrapped his little arms around his Daddy's neck. Now if that didn't reduce you to tears, then the little whispered exchange which came next will surely do the trick. Holding his son close, Ensign Bill Hawes told his son John "I missed you too kiddo him. Trying to speak through his sobs, little John Hawes said, "I missed you, too, Daddy!"
Like Anderson said of this video, "It can warm your heart and break it at the same time!" How true!

I've watched this multiple times already and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes.

"Thankfully, blessedly, parents do come home from war," Anderson said. I say, "amen to that!" I wish we could see more happy endings like this. And I wish everyone's homecoming was this sweet and joyful! Better yet, I wish they didn't have to go to war at all.

In closing, may all those British men and women come home soon and have happy reunions with their loved ones.

Thoughts about last night

Good afternoon Anderfolk!! It's the first day of the Spring Semester, and boy I can actually say I'm looking forward to it! Some of you are going to think I'm crazy when I say I'm excited about Analytical Chemistry and Parasitology, but what can I say...I'm a crazy gal!

Last nights 360 was pretty intense (or at least for me since I hadn't tuned in to the show in a while) and all in all a great show in my opinion. So the shot of the day was ...well to say the least interesting. GO GATORS! lol That game doesn't come even close to matching the Boise State vs Oklahoma State game! Anywho, back to Anderson.

I loved his suit last night, but then again when don't I like the way he's dressed right?!

Any thoughts on the show are welcome, and well as you know any thoughts on Anderson are even more welcomed lol!

Man anyone else glad elections are over?! I know I am, I don't know how many times "mature" (well they're supposed to be) people have started "debates" with me over the last couple of days. I put debate in quotation marks because it was more like an argument/lecture time thing and I was trying to deal with it but I just wasn't up for it!

Anywho, I get to miss 360 and probably the repeat since I'm the "lucky" one that gets to sit up at work while the cleaning people clean the store (agh!) Luckily I don't have practice in the AM so I can sleep in! I'm definately recording the SPURS/Suns game tonight! It should be a great matchup! Thanks to All Things Anderson for the Anderpicture!

Since we're on the subject of withdrawal, let's talk about my House withdrawal! It's been a month since I've gotten to see House! I thought to myself, well through the month of October I can just rewatch seasons 1 and 2, but then I remember I let a friend borrow them so she could get caught up. I mean it was the least I could do after getting her hooked on the show! BUT I only have ONE more day and House is BACK! Yay!! So to any House fans out there that suffered along with me, don't forget House has a new time on Tuesday 8 pm for us central timers, and 9 pm for any eastern peeps!!

Also, I'm so excited that basketball season is starting up again! I've missed my boys like CRAZY!! The Spurs will take on the Mavs in Dallas as their season opener on the 2nd!
