why isn't Coop smiling?
Planet in Peril won some sort of award recently. So why isn't Coop smiling in this pic? The only time he smiles is when he is on air joking with Erica Hill? Has anyone else noticed this? I hope and pray he is ok. I've never met Coop but he seems like such a nice guy, and everyone who has met him tells me he is super-nice.
I see in this pic that Coop's cancer stitches are gone.

Journalist Girl, I wondered about that. He usually has such a big smile on his face. I hope everything is all right, and that his cancer scare is not more than he is letting on about.

I think that he just wanted to get home. That and the fact that he is really not comfortable being the center of attention.
And you are right, I have met him on several occasions and he is lovely, funny and downright charming.
I am sure he is okay, just tired and eager to get home. BTW he is back in NY, he just blogged. =)
I didn't think too much about the reason he wasn't smiling. Those blue eyes distracted me, especially since he's looking right into the camera which makes it look like he's looking right at you. *thud*
