Erica Returns

Since Erica left AC360 there has been something missing from the program. Yes, Candy Crowley and Jessica Yellin do a good job, but it isn't the same and Erica is missed. Last night, Jessica had a surprise for Anderson and lo and behold, Erica appeared. Unfortunately, she came back to mock Anderson over his Jeopardy non-win. It was great to see her again and hear the good old andererica banter. I also liked the walk down memory lane with Jessica over the 80's song "Don't You Want Me Baby?" and other goodies. It looks like Anderson may be hitting the road again. During his interview with Sean Penn he mentioned returning to Haiti. It breaks your heart hearing all those people are going through. I wonder how long until we learn to help these people in a more timely manner.

Speaking of heartbreak, didn't you feel for that couple who had he police pounding on their door 50 times over a period of years. An elderly couple in their eighties shouldn't have to put up with stuff like that. Anderson displayed a very appropriate response to their predicament.

Well, it's 3:00 A.M. and I should attempt getting to bed at a decent hour. My mom and I always went upstairs together whether or not I went to sleep. It's hard now going upstairs to bed. It's a stark reminder that she isn't here with me and I'm alone. So ladies and gents, give your sweetie an extra big hug and don't forget to appreciate that you have them and you're not alone. Maybe marriage isn't a bowl of cherries and everything isn't perfect, but at least when things go wrong you have a shoulder to cry on and someone to console you. That's more important than you may think. If you're single and living with your parent, treasure every moment. You can't imagine how it will hurt when they are gone. On an episode of the television show "Crossing Jordan" there was a quote that went something like this: hold on dear to your parents for it is a scary and confusing world without them." I always thought it was a sweet sentiment, but I never grasped the meaning completely until now. It is very true my friends.

Cooper is Back

Erica Hill blogged on Friday on the live blog and she said that AC will be back this week. Yay!

Did anyone see Erica's debut as sub-anchor? I was not home but there are mixed reviews. I'd much rather have her sub for AC than that Campbell Brown. Ugh. I tried to watch Campbell on Monday and had to turn my TV off. I must admit that Erica's presence on AC360 is growing on me, I was adamently against her when she first came, but she adds an element of fun that makes Coop's snarky, giggly side shine.

RE: Ware is Back

Yeah I am glad to see Michael Ware and Christiane Amanpour back. Ware and Amanour are top-notch professionals.

However, I continue NOT to be impressed at all with Erica Hill's actions on 360. What on Earth does AC's haircut have to do with any of the stories they cover on the show. C;'mon Erica., this is'nt a morning show! Yeh their exchanges used to be cute, but now that she has gotten on the set with AC all it is is a goofy banter-fest. I venture to say she intigates flirting! This is ridiculous. I've been a loyal 360 follower for years and think that anyone who shares the spotlight with AC ought to be held to the same sort of high standards we expect from Ac and the other correspondents.

I know a lot of you like her as an addition on the 360 set, but frankly I don't. But Anderson, for some reason, seems to enjoy her company on the set. Why do men appreciate women who act brainless? I am not saying that Erica isn't smart, but I do say she doesn't ACT intelligent on the show. Heck, she doesn't even act like an adult. She and I are the same age. (b. 1976)

CNN, what are you thinking???

Erica Hill

For the most part, I am very dissapointed in what she has done since moving fulltime to 360. I was hoping to see some real reporting from her, but so far all we've seen is her usual cut-ins with Anderson as well as some " What were they thinking" moments. Maybe things will change as she stays longer and gets used to the show and life in NYC.

Thoughts?

Erica Hill?

I have not yet seen AC and Erica co-ancor 360. Any thoughts or comments?

( I have been away from home and missed Erica's debut last evening on 360)

Since I have not seen it yet with Erica co-anchoring, I have no opinion of her as co-anchor at this time.

I'll take some snark with that order!

Anyone else notice that the Coop has been full of snark as of late?

I don't know about you all, but I am enjoying this more playful side of our favorite newsguy. The 360 " glee club" on Friday had me rolling on the floor! ( literally, since I watch 360 while sitting on my floor) I love the fact that Coop gives us hard news news, but at times the monotony of the news cycle can be depressing. Trust me, I know! I am delighted to see the 360 staff and Coop having some fun this Christmas season. My only wish is that AC himself would have " busted a move" on the dance floor. But somehow I doubt that the viewing public will see Coop dance on live TV anytime soon.

And what is it with the Aerobics video on " What Were they Thinking?" Again, that segment had me laughing out loud. I am also glad to see Erica Hill back in Atlanta, I miss her fun banter with the Coop when she is not there. She makes him laugh and smile.: most of the Coop's snarkiest moments occur during his banter with Erica.
